“Mad about Fall” from Jouer- ooh la la!

So lets talk about some more fall makeup!

Jouer’s “Mad About Fall” 2011 Collection focuses on the beauty trends from the 60’s, think Mad Men, Barbarella, Jackie Kennedy, and Twiggy.  Think a pop of eyes with a nude succulent nude lip.

Start with the cat eye; best accomplished with a liquid liner.  Jouer’s Liquid Shimmer Eyeliners are so smooth, it’s like applying butter to your lid.  Each liner is water based, paraben free, and loaded with Vitamins A & E, and Green and White tea extracts to help gently moisturize your lids without irritating the eye.  This formula is gentle enough that you can apply it to your lower lash line, no problem.  I will admit that I’m not a regular wearer of liquid liners, and found the short applicator easy to maneuver.  I would strongly suggest wiping off excess product from the brush as very little is needed to accomplish the task.  What’s even better, is that you can layer this liner as much as you need to create an uber dramatic effect.  The color I tested was Sable, a sheer aubergine… or in laymen’s terms: a purpley-brown.

What do you need next?  A nude lip.  I really have taken issue with nude lip colors before, because they tend to be thick when applied and therefore can look “gloppy.”  This Hydrating Lipstick, in Dusty, has absolutely blown my mind.  It’s been so amazing, I’ve actually used the tube non-stop, instead of my Burt’s Bee’s or Sugar lip balms, over the last four days.  The texture of this lipstick is very light, and feels similar to my Burt’s Bees… that’s probably due to the Brazilian Cupuacu Butter in the tube.  NON-DRYING at all whatsoever, gonna keep your lips kissable.  But then there is the color… at least for my skin, this color couldn’t be more flattering.  It has hints of rose and blush, which go with my skin tone which is a perfect nude for gals with rosey undertones!

What are you waiting for?  Go create your mod look now.  And if you’ve learned anything from this post… the lip stick should be required to live in your purse every single day.
